I worked on this aircraft as her regular mechanic for the last four years of her active life at A&AEE Boscombe Down before she retired from service and was flown to Bruntingthorpe in 1997 where she resides today. I first worked on her as an apprentice and inherited her from my apprentice master who retired when I qualified. She still remains the best aircraft I have ever worked on and is thought of with much fondness.
