Dispelling the myth?

Ah, that stanchion of unreliability, the second generation Range Rover. But are they really as bad as the hype would have you believe? After being so pleasantly surprised by how great a car the much maligned Rover 75 is I decided to take the plunge in 2017 and find out for myself. As this is in the 'Active' projects section I obviously still have it and it has been in daily use.
Sure it has needed attention, it's a quarter of a century old! But are they really that bad as rumour would have you believe?

Bare in mind that at this age these vehicles have spent many many years at the mercy of their owners own abilities and in some cases dubious garages that hide their own ineptitude behind the vehicles poor reputation.
